How to make Chicken Tandoori
Ingredients
- 1 whole Kienyeji chicken
- 1 piece ginger
- a clove of garlic
- red, yellow, and green bell pepper
- chili flakes
- 2 big red onions
- black pepper
- tandoori masala
- salt
- paprika
- garam masala
- coriander
- tomatoes
Method
- Boil the chicken in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside the water (you can also sieve the water and use it as broth)
- Separately combine the ginger, garlic, and onions.
- Blend together the red, yellow, green, and tomatoes until smooth.
- In a large skillet or Wok, combine the ginger, garlic, and onion with the chicken and cook over low heat.
- Cook the smooth sauce in a different pan.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the chili flakes, black pepper, tandoori masala, paprika, and garam masala. a Tablespoon of water, combine and add to the sauce
- Allow the sauce to cook for a few minutes.
- Then stir in the sauce with the chicken.
- In a separate pan, sauté the remaining onion until soft.
- Remove the chicken from the fire after adding the onion and leaving it for a few minutes.
- Serve with rice or ugali and garnished with coriander.
